"Taking a stop here was the best decision I've made this week. I'm on a long road trip with my dog, so I needed a place to eat outside. The patio furniture was put up when I arrived, so they pulled one out just for us. The food itself was quite good - I had a burger and fries, both of which were stellar. The service was great too, especially with how accommodating they were with my need to be outside. If I wasn't just passing through, I would definitely be back again."

"What a great venue for dinner with friends! Along the Illinois River on Water Street in Peru. Two couples out for dinner...Chicken Parmigiana, Italian beef hoagie, a massive salad with chicken (prepared fried or grilled) and fried cod. All of which were absolutely great! A wonderful dining atmosphere, separated from the bar makes conversations easy. The young wait staff did a great job (and were compensated accordingly). And the owner made it a point to greet us following dinner and ask how it was. Just a great place!"

"Cozy place on the river front. Food is well prepared and tasty. The onion rings and fried pickles were not too heavy! My BLT was super light and tasty."

"Really nice bar and grill. They have many tables with both regular chairs and the higher bar height chairs. They have 2 rooms for seating. The food was amazing. Everyone in our group enjoyed their choices. Service was fantastic."

"My wife and I came here for lunch on a Wednesday. We sat on the patio with our 2 golden retrievers. As soon as we sat down someone brought over 2 bowls of water for our pups. The service was great! Our food was great! I drink non alcoholic beers and they had a few to choose from. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Very laid back and everyone was very friendly!"

"We found this off-the-beaten-path bar and restaurant and loved it. The food was excellent and the beers were cold. The staff was friendly, attractive and attentive. This woild be a fantastic place to hang out at and listen to a band on a weekend. The ambiance was also veey cool with the Illinois River across the street and the building itself being vintage but we'll refurbished."

"If you're ever in Peru, Illinois, you'll definitely have to visit the Riverfront Bar & Grill! Great food, atmosphere, but best of all are the the staff. Ivy was absolutely amazing, super attentive and reminded me of the kindness and courtesy from when I was a kid. Definitely worth a visit! And the portion size on the Jumbo nachos was insane. I can't believe how little there was when I was finished, it was soooo good!"
